OUR

STORY

Our owner, Natasha Broere, is a former makeup artist and qualified eyelash extensionist.

Frustrated at being unable to find ethically sourced lashes, she used her industry experience and set out on a mission to bring the beauty world a brand of lashes they could feel good about using...all with an eco-friendly twist of course!

So HAVA Beauty Co. was born!

MANUFACTURING

Ensuring our products are manufactured consciously and ethically is so important to us. Our team of international artisans and factories all abide by a strict code of conduct, and are SA800 approved. This standard is the world's leading social certification programme and addresses issues including forced and child labour, occupational health and safety, freedom of association, discrimination, working hours, compensation and renumeration.

We've always worked closely with our global partners to minimise the negative impacts associated with manufacturing and to ensure that all people involved are treated fairly and respectfully along the way.

Every year an independent audit is undertaken by certification bodies who specialise in social and ethical standards. This ensures all staff are treated in an ethical manner in relation to health, safety and labour standards.

SUSTAINABILITY

At HAVA Beauty Co. we strive to have a positive impact on the world around us. That means producing products in the most responsible way, reducing our impact on the environment, and treating people as fairly as we possibly can.

We do this by sending all orders in recyclable boxes, packing with tissue paper, using earth friendly inks, plastic-free tape, and shipping in home-compostable mailers. We are also against animal cruelty and ensure all products are vegan and cruelty-free.

In November 2019, we also launched a paper-based lash tray, a world first for the industry!

Our individual lash trays can be placed in your home recycling bin and avoid going to landfill!

Manufacturing recycled paper can use up to 90% less water and 50% less energy. The saying ‘Beauty Doesn’t Have to Cost the Earth’, has never been more relevant.

We want this to be an open conversation with not only our suppliers & retailers, but we want you to join us on this journey, taking a step in the right direction.

We look forward to sharing our journey with you and we thank you for supporting ethical and sustainable trade.
